FAITH CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER

We thank everyone for their support in making “Week of the Young Child” Sunday the experience it was.  Not only did our preschool and church families have an opportunity to worship and grow together spiritually, but it was also a great way to grow together socially.  We are very glad we could be a part of your church service on that special day.  A special thank you to the Fellowship Committee for the delicious refreshments that were served following the service.

April was filled with many exciting trips and events.  Our Four Year Old and Pre-K Classes, along with their parents, enjoyed a trip to the Science Center in Baltimore City as well as a trip to Piney Run Nature Center.  The Two and Three Year Old Classes, and their parents, visited Clark Elioak Farm in Howard County.  The Elioak farm has many animals which the children were actually able to pet and feed.  The weather was great and everyone had a good time!

It’s an exciting time for FCDC, and May appears to be a busy month.  The upcoming month is filled with many activities and events which our children are very much anticipating.  Play days, which include all classes, will be held in early May.  Parents and siblings are invited to come and share in the fun and fellowship on our playground.  The school year concludes with graduation programs and parties for our Four Year Old and Pre-K Classes on the following days:

Monday, May 19 - 9:30 a.m. - 4 AM & 4 PM Bears Classes

Wednesday, May 21 - 9:30 a.m. - 4 AM Bees Class

 1:00 p.m. - Pre-K Class

Our graduation programs will be held in the church sanctuary, followed by refreshments in the social hall.  You are cordially invited to come share these special events with us.

It’s hard to believe that the end of the school year is fast approaching.  It’s been a great year!  The staff members feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with such loving children, as well as very cooperative and supportive parents.  We wish to thank you, Pastor Bloker, and fellow church members, for the many ways you have helped and supported us throughout the year and the trust you have had in us to make choices and decisions.  The gifts given to our children throughout the year by the Evangelism Committee were most thoughtful and very appreciated.  We especially wish to thank Pastor Bloker and Charlotte Sommer for the chapel times they shared with our classes.  The children not only enjoyed the messages, but looked forward to singing along with Pastor as he played his guitar for them.

Thank you and God bless--
