Servant Leadership Team (SaLT) Update – May 2008

SaLT hosted the Quarterly Ministry Team Leader meeting on Saturday, April 26^th. At this meeting we discussed our current Strategic Ministry Plan (SMP) tactics. There was great progress made on several of our SMP Tactics over the last year. The goal of our meeting was to develop strategies to achieve those tactics not completed, as well as support the work already accomplished. By working towards these goals, we are helping move our church towards reaching the main goal, which is the following:

Provide facilities to grow our congregation, including expanded worship and fellowship and a Christian Day School, with every member involved in at least one ministry.

The SMP Tactics that follow have been identified to help our church achieve our main goal.

_ Develop and implement a leadership development and training plan

_ Increase fellowship opportunities

_ Help everyone discover their gifts and how to use them in ministry

_ Assess community needs and build an outreach plan

_ Establish a facility plan based on ministry

_ Develop and implement an effective stewardship action plan

_ Write a staffing plan to support ministry efforts

_ Establish an effective prayer ministry

_ Establish a young adult ministry

_ Conduct an assessment of the community to start planning for a Christian Day School

There is a Voters’ Meeting scheduled for Wednesday, May 7^th at 7pm. The Call Committee will be discussing the call process for a new pastor. In order to remain a voting member you need to attend the voters’ meeting. If you miss two voters’ meetings in a row, your voting status is suspended. If you are unable to attend, please contact Kara Mueller, kpmueller@comcast.net or 410-552-1255, and you will be excused. New members please attend. Your name will be added to the voters’ roll, and you will have voting privileges at the next meeting.
